By writing down what the customer wants, you should be able to find a gap in the market to target. Links are also useful. A digital ad is interactive, so take advantage of this by linking to a how-to guide or an instructional video for their information.

Hit The Right Tone

Developing your tone of voice isn’t simple, yet it’s essential for success. The key is to keep it professional but to be friendly, welcoming and funny wherever possible. Social media is perfect for witty banter between followers and brands, for example. Of course, you should take the product or service into account. If it’s sad or dark, lighthearted won’t work.

Place Your Adverts In The Right Place

There isn’t a one-size-fits-all policy here because every group is different. However, social media is always a good inclusion as it lets you break down your targets. Are you looking to show ads to women in their 30s in Oxford who have young children and like tennis? No problem because facebook lets you target people by interests, job titles, age, and gender.

Use analytic software to determine your target audience so that you’re marketing in the right place.

Call Them To Action

Your advert may do all of the above and still not get a response. The reason is simple – there wasn’t a call to action. Encouraging your audience to go out and try your service can convince them to make a purchase, but your calls to action have to be powerful. Today, the best ones offer value and solve problems simultaneously. For example, a free trial gets people to try your product by giving them something for nothing. Hopefully, after a week or a month (the choice is yours), they’ll continue to use your brand and stay loyal.
