Shropshire Country Brides is an award-winning bridal boutique based in Shropshire. Their goal is to offer brides a unique wedding dress experience that they will remember for the rest of their lives.

Jackie Betton took over Shropshire Country Brides in 2017 and moved the business from a rural location to the A49, the main road between Ludlow and Shrewsbury. This gave the business multiple car parking spaces, a larger showroom and more changing facilities.

The Challenge

In January 2018, Jackie and her manager, Emma, approached Codebreak initially for support with their website. In the Discovery Meeting, we discussed the problem of low traffic and it arose that there was a real opportunity to drive targeted demographics to their pages.

Our Plan

We knew we could drive women who had recently gotten engaged or mothers of women who had recently gotten engaged to the website using Facebook Advertising.

This service would be a fraction of the cost of what Shropshire Country Brides was used to vs. print advertising and wedding exhibitions.

Jackie and Emma instructed a photographer to shoot models in their dresses, as well as capture images of their beautiful showroom. Their new & improved website had to have strong visual content. Our copywriters took care of the wording that would help brides-to-be on their journey from enquiry to saying “yes to the dress”.

We built a system within the website that easily allowed people to make an enquiry, including a preferred appointment date, budget, where they heard about SCB and the number in their dress shopping party. This also allowed SCB to prepare the premises, suitable dresses, Prosecco, and more to ensure the perfect appointment.

Upon launch of the website, we kickstarted a Facebook Page campaign and Facebook Ads to drive the right people to the website.

Social media content creation, site visits, videography & photography, posting research, analysis of Facebook Insights, plan & review sessions… all handled by the Codebreak crew.

Fast forward to today…

– Hundreds of website visitors every day

– Multiple appointment enquiries every day

– Adverts targeting people most likely to purchase, incl. relationship status and interest in specific bridal brands

– Google Display Ads retargeting people who have visited the website

– Facebook Ads retargeting people have visited the website

– A 133% increase in the number of dresses sold a month.

 Shropshire Country Brides is now a rapidly growing and profitable business, working with leading bridal brands to provide the perfect dresses for their brides. Jackie and Emma have systemised a successful bridal business that has enabled them to buy their dream home, travel overseas to leading bridal events and employ an enthusiastic team of dress experts.
