Making the Leap With Your Marketing

100km is a fair old distance. I found that out when I cycled it recently.

My wife had signed up for the Rapha Women’s 100 and somehow roped me in too. All for a good cause, promoting and celebrating trailblazing women in cycling.

Although we love cycling, the furthest we’d ever ridden in one go was 40km.

But time was against us. It would have been lovely if we’d had weeks and weeks to train and build up our distance.

Life’s not always perfect.

Sometimes you’ve just got to get on with it.

If your business numbers are telling you that things need to change, maybe you’ve got time to implement those changes gradually.

But again sometimes you haven’t. You haven’t got the luxury of ‘slowly slowly catchy monkey’. Scary but that’s business. If it was that easy, all our mates would be doing it.

With your marketing, this can be especially scary. Launching a massive Facebook Ad campaign. Building a brand new website. Finally getting that fancy brochure sorted.

Naturally, you can’t steam into these things blind. You need to know your onions. Emma and I hadn’t ridden 100km before but we’ve been in the game long enough to know how to do it. And I don’t just mean taking a dozen flapjacks with us.
