What Platform Is Best For Businesses to Advertise On

by | Jul 2, 2021

Which platform is best for businesses to advertise on… Well, how long is a piece of string?

The answer to this question is a little bit more complicated, and there is no one size fits all solution. But never fear, in this blog, we are going to help you answer that question for your business.

So, what platforms are out there?

The modern social media landscape presents you with some choices. Each one provides different pros and cons and which platforms you choose will depend on what kind of business you run, who your audience is and more importantly, how they behave on the internet.

Often, it takes a combination of a couple of the options available. There is no point spreading yourself too thin, trying to have a presence on every platform. It will be far more cost-effective to do one or two well than to do all of them poorly.

The big players in the paid advertising game, at the moment, are Facebook and Google. But other platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Tik-Tok, Amazon and even Snapchat offer paid-for options for advertising as well.

Now you might have used one or more of these platforms in your days, but just because you use a certain platform, won’t mean that it’s the best choice for your business.

If your audience isn’t on the platform or doesn’t use that platform to look at content like yours, then it isn’t going to be worthwhile for you.

It imperative to choose the right platform, to get the most out of your marketing.

It’s all about the right platform for your business. There are a lot of elements to consider when making this choice.

Audience age, location demographic and interests. The intention of users on each platform when they log in, are they trying to interact with friends? Are they looking for specific information or services? Are they trying to buy? Are they likely to be watching video content and if so, how do they consume that video content?

It takes research, sometimes it takes a bit of experimentation, trial and error and this can end up costing you money in the early stages.

Take the plunge!

As experienced marketers, we are confident that we know how users use different platforms and we seriously recommend that you talk to the experts when it comes to finding online audiences and figuring out their behaviour.
