The big players in the paid advertising game, at the moment, are Facebook and Google. But other platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Tik-Tok, Amazon and even Snapchat offer paid-for options for advertising as well.

If your audience isn’t on the platform or doesn’t use that platform to look at content like yours, then it isn’t going to be worthwhile for you.

Audience age, location demographic and interests. The intention of users on each platform when they log in, are they trying to interact with friends? Are they looking for specific information or services? Are they trying to buy? Are they likely to be watching video content and if so, how do they consume that video content?
It takes research, sometimes it takes a bit of experimentation, trial and error and this can end up costing you money in the early stages.
