This is a famous phrase said by a preacher called Norman Vincent Peale.
He was a positive thinking guru back in the day.
Basically, it’s good to have a BIG target.
If it’s too easy or vanilla, where’s the hunger?
I recently asked how hungry are these business owners who say they’re hungry.
Because I’m always seeing and hearing people who can’t be arsed to put in the work.
Some of them know their yearly goal. Which is a great start. (It’s amazing how many business owners don’t know where they’re going. Which is – surprise, surprise – why they go round in circles).
But it’s no good if the goal isn’t a big one because it won’t motivate and excite them enough to take ACTION.
So what’s your goal for the year? Bearing in mind the above, is the goal too easy? Is it too boring?
It’s OK not to hit a big target.
Just like it’s OK to have people say no to you.
You’ll still be making more progress than if you stayed comfortable all the time.
Nothing amazing was ever achieved from the comfort zone.
