Lead With Value Not Bullsh*t

Hello. What’s going on? Another day of wonder and opportunity. 

Let’s get straight into it – lead with VALUE not bullsh*t.

What I mean is, lots of businesspeople steam into the sale off the bat.

Ask for sale, of course. That’s fundamental.

If you want to get married, you’ve got to pop the question…

... BUT go on some dates first!

Ask them questions, listen and find out whether you’re right for each other.

What so many business owners do when they meet new prospects is rush things: They invite you to connect on LinkedIn… and then DM you trying to sell you a mortgage or whatever.

They cold email you with nothing but a pitch.

They cold call you with nothing but a pitch.

Or, my current favourite – they slide into your DMs with what looks like an innocent question, when actually it’s… yes, you guessed it… a pitch.

Here’s an example: “Hey, Andy. Love your content.

Have you got room to take on any more copywriting clients?”

“Yes, absolutely. When’s good to chat?”

“Amazing! Because I’m a copywriter and have a deal on at the moment for agencies such as Codebreak….”


Give first, not take.

No one says anymore, “What can I do to help you?” Joel and I deliver free marketing & mindset content that most people charge for.

Emails, podcasts, videos, guidebooks, masterclasses… the list goes on.

We’ll ask for the sale but it’s value first.
